In Friday’s (4/18) Musical America, Sarah Shay writes, “New York-based music critic Fred Cohn is the new Features Editor of the Musical America International Directory of the Performing Arts. He succeeds Clive Paget, in the job for five years. Paget, now based in London, will continue to contribute news and reviews to the Musical America website. Cohn, who writes and consults for a number of classical music organizations, is the former editor of Opera America Magazine and a regular reviewer for Musical America, among other publications. As MA Features Editor, he will oversee the annual Musical America Awards as well as assign and edit the Awardees’ tribute articles, which appear in the annual International Directory of the Performing Arts, now published in a digital edition posted on Musical America.com. His appointment was announced by Stephanie Challener, publisher of Musical America. Founded as a weekly newspaper in 1898, Musical America through the years has appeared in a variety of formats….
