Motor sports enthusiasts are set to gather in Albufeira on 10 May for the 14th edition of Motofest. Organised by the Moto Clube de Albufeira – now celebrating its 34th anniversary – and supported by the local council and parish authorities, the event is expected to attract thousands of two-wheel fans.

The programme features 50cc and 125cc drag races starting at 2:30pm and 3:30pm, followed by a Freestyle Motocross show with Marco Carvalho at 4:30pm. Afterwards, 2024 world champion and three-time national title-holder Humberto Ribeiro takes to the stage with a Stunt Riding performance, which will take place for a second time at 8:45pm.

From 10pm, visitors can take the fiery food challenge of “The Spiciest Bifana in the World” before the event closes with a live concert by Pearl Band, Portugal’s leading Pearl Jam tribute group with over 500 shows to their name.
According to Albufeira’s mayor, José Carlos Rolo, Motofest plays a role in raising the town’s profile nationally and internationally. Deputy mayor Cristiano Cabrita adds that supporting local associations remains a priority and events like Motofest reflect the strength of community spirit.
Taking place in the car park of the Judicial Court, the event space will feature food and drink stalls, motorbike-related exhibitors, and charity organisation. Entry if free.
