Jerskin Fendrix returns with new release ‘Sk1’.
The UK musician has developed a singular sound, with his acclaimed 2020 debut album ‘Winterreise’ melting together post-rock atmospherics, caustic electronics, and evocative melody.
Since then, Jerskin has found remarkable – and richly deserved – credit as a film composer. Recently working on a number of scores for Yorgos Lanthimos, his work on Poor Things earned BAFTA, Oscar and Golden Globe nominations, as well as winning Film Composer of the Year and Discovery of the Year awards at the 2024 World Soundtrack Awards.
New track ‘Sk1’ finds Jerskin returning to his core, the crunchy post-punk tapestries interweaving around one another. An impressive return, it feels less like a fresh start and more like a continuation, embodying this probing artist’s inherent sense of evolution.
Out now digitally, ‘Sk1’ will also be pressed to a limited 12” vinyl, together with an exclusive B-side only available with the physical release – available to pre-order now.
