May 8, 2025 – Mariposa rock band JNX has been nominated for „Best New Artist“ and „Best Band“ for the 4th Annual Central Valley Music Awards (CVMA) in Fresno, CA, the Valley’s biggest day in music in June.
JNX is asking for the Mariposa and mountain community’s support and to vote for JNX in those categories.
To vote for JNX, go to centralvalleymusicawards.com and scroll down to Best New Artist and Best Band categories. 
The official CVMA voting polls opened on May 1 and will end on May 17. Each person is allowed one vote per category.

The Central Valley Music Awards will be held Saturday, June 7, 2025, at Woodward Park, 2135 Fresno St. There will be a red-carpet event at 12:00 p.m. and the main event at 1:00 p.m. The awards event celebrates the sounds of the valley. JNX is a rock trio comprised of Jonah, Xavier, and Roger Dacanay. Jonah is a 2022 graduate and valedictorian of Mariposa County High School and drummer Xavier Dacanay is a junior at the high school. In addition to leading the band, writing, and producing JNX’s music, Jonah teaches music lessons in the mountain community and also produces for other bands in the Central Valley. Xavier also teaches drum lessons to students of all ages in Mariposa and the mountain community. Roger plays bass.
