Jazz and world music festival Brosella announces line-up – The Brussels Times

Brosella Festival has announced the line-up for this year’s jazz and world music festival at the foot of the Atomium in Ossegem Park, featuring both international and national artists, including Gabriel Ríos.
The summer edition will include performers such as Salif Keïta, Mayra Andrade, Jaga Jazzist, Gabriel Ríos, Isaiah Collier & The Chosen Few, and Mandé Sila featuring Habib Koité.
Other notable acts include Aly Keïta, Lamine Cissokho, Mama Koné, Sélène Saint-Aimé Quintet with Créole Songs, Edredon, BXL x LDN Interplay, and many more. Six family concerts are also scheduled.
The festival kicks off on Friday evening, 4 July, with a performance by Mayra Andrade. On Saturday, 5 July, the focus will be on „the diversity of the urban ethno [world music] scene with an eclectic mix of various musical influences from Africa and Europe.“
Sunday, 6 July, will be dedicated entirely to jazz, showcasing a wide range of styles from classic to contemporary jazz fusions. According to the organisers, international top artists will share the stage with emerging local talent, promising another engaging and varied day.
Brosella tickets operate on a ‘pay-what-you-can’ basis. By paying a suggested price for a day or weekend pass, visitors can help support others who may find it financially challenging to attend the festival.
Tickets are available at www.brosellafestival.be, and entry is free for children under 14 years old.
