Dancing woman with music in her head & ugly shoes arrested in Brook Park – Cleveland.com

BROOK PARK, Ohio – A Brook Park woman, 33, was arrested at about 1 a.m. April 12 for driving drunk.
Police noticed the woman driving a Subaru Forester southbound on Smith Road near Elm Avenue. The sport-utility vehicle hit a curb on the right side of the road and almost bounced over the curb.
Police pulled over the SUV on Smith just north of Commerce Parkway. As police walked toward the vehicle, the woman was dancing in the driver’s seat as music blasted from her stereo.
When the woman noticed police standing there, she turned off the music. She had trouble hearing what police were saying, so she reached to her stereo volume knob to turn down the music, even though music was no longer playing from the stereo.
The SUV smelled like alcohol. The woman denied drinking while slurring her words. She asked police if they would like to follow her home, but police declined the offer.
Police asked the woman to step out of the SUV. She asked if they were going to have her perform a field “so-bye-ity” test. When police asked her to repeat herself, she said field “so-bry-er-ie” test.
At one point during the sobriety tests, the woman took off her shoes, saying that they were ugly.
The woman failed field sobriety tests. She told police, “You can let me go with a warning. Literally, I’m not that messed up to the point where I’m blacked-out drunk. Ya know what I mean?”
