5 New Songs Out Today – BrooklynVegan

So many artists, so many songs, so little time. Each week we review a handful of new albums (of all genres), round up even more new music that we’d call “indie,” and talk about what metal is coming out. We post music news, track premieres, and more all day. We update a playlist weekly of some of our current favorite tracks. Here’s a daily roundup with a bunch of interesting, newly released songs in one place.
FULL OF HELL – “BROKEN SWORD, ROTTEN SHIELD”
Grindy hardcore/metal maniacs Full of Hell have shared the title track of their upcoming EP Broken Sword, Rotten Shield and it’s a scorcher.

HEALTH & CHELSEA WOLFE – “MEAN”
HEALTH and Chelsea Wolfe have both found ways to put their own spins on ’80s/’90s-style industrial rock over the years, and on “MEAN,” they do it together.

PUPIL SLICER – “HEATHER” & “BLACK SCRAWL”
The great UK mathcore/post-hardcore band Pupil Slicer have just released two chaotic new songs. Is a followup to their 2023 sophomore album Blossom on the way? Let’s hope!

THURSTON MOORE – “THE SERPENTINE”
The always-prolific Thurston Moore dropped a new track over the weekend, “The Serpentine.” Fans of late ’90s Sonic Youth, take note.

DÜÜL SUNS – “JEALOUSY”
When you’ve got a name with “Düül” in it, you’re sure to have a little krautrock influence, and that definitely is true with NYC group Düül Suns and their debut single which also works in a little ’60s baroque psych into the mix. Nice first impression.
