Ahead of the American Music Awards’ return from a two-year hiatus on Memorial Day, the awards show has shared the complete list of nominations for its 2025 ceremony. Kendrick Lamar is the most nominated artist of the year with 10 nods across seven categories. The rapper is nominated three times in the Favorite Hip-Hop Song category for “Luther” with SZA, “Like That” with Future and Metro Boomin, and “Not Like Us” as a solo artist.
Lamar is trailed in nominations by Post Malone, who scored eight, and seven-time nominees Billie Eilish, Chappell Roan, and Shaboozey. All of these artists saw their nomination count boosted by the addition of three new categories. For the first time, the American Music Awards will honor artists for Album, Song, and Social Song of the Year. The inaugural batch of albums includes Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter, Charli XCX’s Brat, Sabrina Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet, Taylor Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department, and more.
The nomination eligibility period began on March 22, 2024, and concluded on March 20, 2025.
The American Music Awards will air live from Las Vegas on Monday, May 26 via CBS and stream on Paramount+. Jennifer Lopez will host the show. Voting for all AMA categories is open now on the show’s website. See the full list of nominations here:
