XG to livestream final show of world tour for free – NME

The former NME Cover stars are wrapping up their tour at the Tokyo Dome today
XG have announced a free concert livestream for fans around the world to watch the final show of their ongoing world tour.
The Japanese septet, who appeared on a January 2025 issue of NME‘s The Cover, are due to wrap up their ‘The First HOWL’ world tour tonight (May 14) at the Tokyo Dome in Japan after shows in Mexico, London, Singapore, Las Vegas, California, China, Japan, Brazil and more across several months. They also made their Coachella debut last month as part of the tour.
To mark the occasion, the group have shared that they will be livestreaming their Japan show tonight for free to fans around the world via their official YouTube channel. The event will be broadcast at 9:30am GMT – you can watch it below.

Among the songs XG performed throughout the tour are hits like ‘Howling’, ‘Woke Up’, ‘IYKYK’, ‘Something Ain’t Right’, ‘Is This Love’, ‘Shooting Star’, ‘Left Right’ and ‘Puppet Show’.
Speaking to NME for The Cover in January, XG reflected on the long road to discovering their own identity in the competitive idol music scene, while aiming to bring their cultural roots to the rest of the world. “We have a lot of pride in our Japanese heritage and culture,” said group leader Jurin, “so we’re trying to figure out how to integrate that and incorporate it into the larger XG brand.”

The girl group also touched on their Coachella debut in April, where they carried the torch for their home country as the only Japanese act on the line-up this year. “We were like deer in headlights,” Jurin said of the moment they found out about the booking. “But then we saw Coachella’s official lineup image with ‘XG’ on it, and that’s when it really hit us. We couldn’t stop sharing it with each other, saying, ‘Oh my God, look, guys, we’re on the list.’”
XG first debuted in 2022 with the single ‘Tippy Toes’. The group first mini-album ‘New DNA’ in September 2023, followed by their sophomore mini-album ‘AWE’ in November 2024. They’ve released several singles this year, including ‘Is This Love’, ‘In The Rain’ and ‘Million Places’.
