News: Sawyer Puts Out New Song ‘Yllw’ – New Noise Magazine

Alternative act Sawyer joins forces with the versatile Boyband on his new song “yllw.” With its easy flow, the track will hit home for indie rock and alternative pop fans while becoming a mainstay on playlists this summer.
“To be someone’s yellow is to be irreplaceable,” Sawyer says when describing the song, which gives major Dominic Fike vibes.
This introspective gem captures the nerve-wracking leap it takes to ask someone, as Sawyer puts it, “to be yours.” The hypnotic guitars lull the listener into a nice groove, while the punchy drums keep their feet thumping to the beat. And Grammy-nominated producer Boyband is an excellent sidekick on the song.
“The commentary in Boyband’s verse expresses the internal grappling of feeling worthy of another’s affection,” Sawyer continues.

The lyrics are raw and vivid, and the tune itself sticks with you long after it ends. The song is a perfect compliment to “oh Lorraine,” Sawyer’s extremely touching recent release.
Despite growing up in the United States, Sawyer currently lives in the U.K., grinding away in London’s popular music scene. With his easy going personalty and knack for writing introspectively, Sawyer fits right in with whoever he plays with. All of his tracks are sparklingly polished with an infectious vibe. Sawyer should be all over your summer playlist.
