Dobbin recommends: Myanmar’s very own nu-core sensation dropped this ditty earlier in the week. It’s full of synth, vocal, and guitar hooks, which are hurled at you relentlessly, intent on making you move. This will keep them more than ticking through 2025 and should be an easy playlist pick for moments where you want to be bouncing.
dormant – It’s More Than You Deserve (Single)

Joe recommends: dormant’s introduction to the UK scene has been explosive with their recent singles, including latest addition “It’s More Than You Deserve”. Another track packed with nu-core fury, it’s commanded by shredding riffs and harrowing vocals. Both of these explode in a shotgun-breakdown that looks to knock the stuffing out of listeners before the track closes out.
Fromjoy – Eternal.Harvest (Single)

Jack recommends: Tapping into the hardcore roots that have always underpinned their core sound, “Eternal.Harvest” sees Fromjoy move in a completely new direction once again. Where the previous single, Monochrome, saw clean vocals take the forefront, “Eternal.Harvest” acts as a showcase for the band’s harsh vocal talent. If you’re expecting the Fromjoy that you’ve come to know, think again. Though there’s a clear thread throughout which is quintessentially Fromjoy, this track is a whole other beast, expanding their sound and further expanding their genre repertoire.
Somerset Thrower – Motor City (Single)

Dobbin recommends: “Sound of the summer” is a phrase that’s thrown around far too much, but we can’t resist recoining it for “Motor City”. This is fresh and upbeat post-hardcore that will leave you feeling all warm and fuzzy. It’s prominently underlined by delicious bass with tone for days, and the surrounding production is pitch perfect. Their third record releases in July and ought to take all of this potential for a victory lap.
