Megan Thee Stallion has denied being „banned“ from attending future Met Galas after breaking the no-phone rule at this year’s bash.
The rapper, real name Megan Pete, flouted the no-phones rule when she attended the annual fashion event held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City earlier this month.
Taking to Instagram on the night, Megan posted a video showing herself, rapper Doechii, and basketball player Angel Reese trying the food.
„Hottie Cam in thee MET GALA (sic),“ she captioned the clip.
While rumours have swirled suggesting co-chair Anna Wintour may strike her off the guestlist for the 2026 Met Gala, during an interview for People on Tuesday, she insisted that wasn’t the case.
„No. We’re gonna dead these rumours right now, OK? People are like, ‚Oh my God, Megan, you got banned from the Met Gala.‘ No, I didn’t, babe. Like that’s not true,“ she said.
Megan went on to emphasise that she believes U.S. Vogue editor-in-chief Anna would be fine with her using her phone.
„Y’all made that up and ran with it. They love making (stuff up). Anna loves me, babe. That’s why my phone was out,“ the 30-year-old added.
Megan abided by the Tailored for You dress code at this year’s Met Gala by stepping out in a custom-made white floral lace gown and white faux fur coat from Michael Kors which was inspired by singers Josephine Baker and Eartha Kitt.
