Halle Bailey accuses DDG of abuse in restraining order request – Music-News.com

Halle Bailey has accused her ex-boyfriend DDG of physical and emotional abuse in a restraining order request.
The Chloe x Halle star and rapper, real name Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., split in October 2024 after almost three years of dating. The former couple share a 16-month-old son named Halo.
But according to court documents obtained by TMZ on Tuesday, Bailey alleged DDG began to wrestle her, pulled her hair, slammed her face on his steering wheel, and chipped her tooth after she attempted to speak to him about their child visitation schedule back in January.
The Little Mermaid actress claimed she decided to remain in DDG’s car for the ride to his house, where she told his family about what had happened.
As part of her filing, Bailey included photos of her alleged injuries, including one image in which she had bruises on her arms and another in which she gives a close-up of her chipped front tooth.
Elsewhere, the 25-year-old alleged DDG had entered her home without permission in March and took a photo from inside her bedroom. Bailey also claimed the YouTube personality became verbally abusive four days later when she informed him that she and Halo were sick and planned to stay at her home.
The star alleged DDG smashed her home surveillance camera and took her phone.
„I realise that there is no placating Darryl,“ she said in a statement included in the filing. „I cannot allow this abuse any longer. I cannot keep living like this. I never know when he is going to demand our son be in his mother’s care and whether I will be subjected to his threats and abuse.“
In response to the claims, the judge granted Bailey a domestic violence restraining order in which the 27-year-old is required to stay 100 yards (91 metres) away from her. She has also been given permission to take Halo to Italy with her while she films a movie for the next two months.
DDG has not yet commented on the allegations.
A hearing in the case is scheduled for 4 June.
