Grand Old Day
The Grand Old Day festival is coming back to St. Paul on June 1. Gather along the 30 blocks of St. Paul’s Grand Avenue for a day of summer fun, from a 5K to a parade to a classic car show to wiener dog races. And of course, there’s spectacular live music.
With six different stages of entertainment and a variety of genres, you’re sure to find music that fits your vibe. Minneapolis country folk band The Cactus Blossoms takes on The Grand Stage, along with Wisconsin folk rock band Them Coulee Boys, Yonder (recently featured in The Current’s Scouting Report), and rock group FènixDion.
Be sure to check out The Vibes Stage, which is hosted by Sean McPherson and Jazz88. You’ll see former The Voice contestant Ashley DuBose, country blues musician Mike Munson, Emmy winning actor and vocalist T. Mychael Rambo, and more. At the Live and Local Stage, watch talented Minnesota artists tear it up, including indie artist Miloe, rapper Dem Atlas, and artist and producer Obi Original. The International Reggae All Stars featuring Singing Tony perform at The Nothing But Canna Stage. And head over to The Homegrown Stage to experience some nostalgia with the Ladies of the 80s.
