Day of music will raise money for vital work of Bradford hospice – Telegraph and Argus

PEOPLE are invited to experience a day of wonderful music in support of the Marie Curie Hospice in Bradford.
On Saturday, June 14, Hot Aire! concert band will proudly present ‚Music for Marie Curie‘ at Bingley Arts Centre
The matinee, starting at 2:30pm, will involve performances from Hot Aire!, Airedale Flute Choir, and St Wallburga’s School Choir.
The evening performance, from 7pm, will again feature Hot Aire!, along with Hall Royd Brass Band and Bradford Accordion Band
Tickets, priced £15 for adults, £10 for under 16s, and £40 for a family ticket, are available from Bingley Arts Centre or online at ticketsource.co.uk/bingleyartscentre/e-zvpkym
The Marie Curie Hospice says the money raised at this event is essential in helping the hospice provide expert care and support to patients with a terminal diagnosis and their families, enabling people to spend their final days with dignity and surrounded with their loved ones.
These concerts are in memory of the husband of one of the band members who passed away in the Bradford Hospice.
Hot Aire! Concert Band is a symphonic Concert Band based at St Peter’s Church, Shipley, performing a range of contemporary music including pop classics, film scores and beloved musical theatre numbers. The band performed at The Big Brass Blowout in April and are taking part in The Bradford Progress Finale on May 18 at Mirror Pool.
Airedale Flute Choir is an all abilities flute ensemble based at Northcliffe Church, Shipley. Their wide repertoire features music from film and shows as well pop and classical arrangements all performed with our unique sound
St Walburga’s Catholic Primary School Choir, based in Shipley has been a vibrant and well-known part of our school community since its beginning in 2005. They have participated in prestigious events such as Young Voices, Concerts with the Bradford Concert Band and the Bradford Lights Switch on. Also entered various competitions, have won the Robertshaw Festival for an impressive ten consecutive years.
Hall Royd Band is also a community band based in Northcliffe Church Shipley. This year they celebrate their 80th anniversary. They play music of many different genres and try to appeal to all ages.
Bradford Accordion Band (affectionately known as BAB) was established in 1997. They are based at Northowram Community Centre, Halifax. Their repertoire comprises folk, pop, classical, film and TV and other cultures music. BAB prides itself on a giving a lively performance with plenty of audience interaction.
