NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — The Country Music Association (CMA) is honoring Tennessee teachers, as well as teachers nationwide, for their dedication in educating today's youth through music.
On Tuesday, CMA announced its 2025 class of CMA Foundation Music Teachers of Excellence, awarding 30 teachers for going above and beyond across the country music industry.
Each teacher awarded will receive a $5,000 award, divided between personal use and their classroom or program. The 2025 class will be honored at a red-carpet gala on Wednesday, Sept. 10 at Nashville's Schermerhorn Symphony Center, and have the opportunity for one-of-a-kind access to CMA Fest and CMA Awards.
This year's honorees span across 11 states. Teachers were chosen through an extensive application process that examined instructional excellence, innovation in the classroom and a demonstrated commitment to leadership, collaboration and student success.
