Celebrate local music at Propylaeum’s summer concert series, free every first Friday – WISH-TV

INDIANAPOLIS, IN-The Indianapolis Propylaeum is hosting a free porch concert series every first Friday until August, featuring a diverse lineup of local musicians.
The concert series is held at the historic Indianapolis Propylaeum, an all-women organization, and is sponsored by Old National Bank, Penrod Society, Harrison Center, and Guyton. The event aims to provide the community with free access to live music in a unique and intimate setting.
“It’s a really exciting event that’s going on,” said Kelsey Seger, Events & Program Director at the Indianapolis Propylaeum.
“We love playing there every year,” said Pavel Polanco-Safadit, an international Latin jazz pianist.
The porch concert series offers a variety of musical genres, including indie folk, Latin jazz, and R&B, ensuring a diverse experience for attendees.
The next concert is scheduled for June 6th, featuring Teresa Reynolds and the Slick Tones.
Attendees can register for free on the Indianapolis Propylaeum’s website or Facebook page, or simply show up to enjoy the music.
Guests are encouraged to bring blankets, chairs, and even dancing shoes to make the most of the outdoor event.
The Indianapolis Propylaeum was created as a space for women to organize and discuss topics beyond traditional roles, and it continues to promote women’s leadership, arts, and community through various programs.
The porch concert series at the Indianapolis Propylaeum offers a unique opportunity for community members to enjoy free live music in a historic setting, while supporting local artists and celebrating women’s leadership.
