CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Saturday, in the park. I think it was the fourth of July. Actually, it was the third of May. But still. The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and the activities are a’plenty this weekend. This is what’s happening in Cheyenne on Saturday.


Safe Kids Day at Laramie County Library

Come join the fun at the 27th Annual Safe Kids Day brought to you by Safe Kids Laramie County and Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. This free event showcases over 20 exhibitors presenting services focused on children’s health and safety. Bring the whole family to enjoy activities for kids, including balloon twisting from Alpacaglobo Balloons, door prizes, and tours of the Cheyenne Police Department Mobile Command Unit. Car seat inspections will be available in the parking lot from 10am—1pm and food trucks will be on site with food available for purchase.

Family Days – Military Appreciation

Let’s celebrate, honor and recognize members of our military! May is Military Appreciation month, a time to pay tribute to the people who serve in all branches of the US military. The Wyoming State Museum will host members from local military groups to give families an opportunity to learn, play, and say thank you! Check out military vehicles, run an obstacle course, and learn the history of national symbols like the bald eagle & the star.
Every family that registers for & attends the event will be entered into a raffle to win a Texas Roadhouse Family Pack Dinner worth $49.99!

Celebrate World Turtle Day with us as we create a unique and fun piece of Zentangle© Inspired Art. You will need to bring a few coins to class a quarter, nickel, and dime. All other materials will be provided for your use. No Zentangle experience is necessary. You’ll learn a variety of tangle patterns and design a Zendala tile (round) that even our friends Yutle and Squritle will approve of!

MICHAEL MORROW & THE CULPRITS has cultivated their style of Hard Rock Countryfied Blues in the Rocky Mountain Region and Mid-West for the past ten years. Recently, they did a series of shows in the UK.With their fifth album Greater Than Gravity (2023) they have further expanded their sound.Michael Morrow sites Hendrix, Page, Frehley and Gilmour as guitar influences but his true heroes are vocalists. When you come hear a band, walking up, you can tell first off, Is the band tight? Hows their overall tone? After that, the singer is the first tip. Better be in key. Thats everything. We always strive to put on a great energetic show.Steve Haywood, bassist and native of Cambridge, UK was influenced by McCartney, Sting and The Clash. His roots being 70s English Pop/Rock. As, the longest member of The Culprits, he is our liaison to all things British.Kristian Wallis, drummer, possesses a wide musical background. His 6 4 stature has come in handy in some seedier parts of towns. Mostly, other than his unique style of drumming, he is very engaging. A lot of times he becomes the bands embassador at nights end Song titles such asDirty Little Love Song, Rock n Roll Aint Never Paid My Bills, Cherry Blossom almost paint a picture. Their music can be found on iTunes, Spotify, You Tube, etc.
