Video game publisher Activision is joining forces with AEG Presents and Goldenvoice for THPS Fest, a new music festival meant to promote the upcoming Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 remake.
THPS Fest will take place on Thursday, May 8th the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles. Featured acts include artists whose songs have been (or will be) featured in Tony Hawk video games, including SoCal hardcore punk legends the Adolescents. The bill also includes San Diego pop-punk outfit Urethane alongside Midwest rappers Danny Brown and Lupe Fiasco.
No information is currently available regarding public ticket sales. However, THPS Fest will be livestreamed on Twitch starting at 6 p.m. PT/9 p.m. ET on the day of the event.

The Adolescents‘ song „Amoeba“ was featured in the original Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 from 2001, and will return in the Pro Skater 3+4 remake set for release on July 11th. Additionally, the Dropkick Murphys covered the Adolescents‘ „Who Is Who“ for the Tony Hawk’s American Wasteland soundtrack in 2005.
Meanwhile, Lupe Fiasco’s song „Kick, Push“ appeared in the 2006 game Tony Hawk’s Downhill Jam. Both Lupe Fiasco and franchise newcomer Danny Brown will have yet-to-be-announced tracks in Pro Skater 3+4.
The upcoming remake also marks the franchise debut for Urethane with their song „Dog Years.“ The band was founded by professional skateboarder Steve Caballero, a mainstay of the THPS franchise and one-time member of the original Bones Brigade alongside Tony Hawk himself.
