The songwriter is a rare and special talent, with Kathryn Joseph set to release her fourth studio album ‘WE WERE MADE PREY’ later this year.
New single ‘DEER.’ is out now, and it’s shockingly intense – the production from Lomond Campbell allowed crystal assurance to seep out of her musicality, while adding subtle elements to disrupt and enhance the songwriting.
Recording took place n the remote Black Bay Studios on the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides last winter – a suitable location for scouring the depths of the soul.
In Kathryn’s words, ‘DEER.’ is ” life and death, and the how lucky we are to love even for a moment, and surviving the want and miss of when it is gone.”
