Yuuf Sign To Technicolour, Detail New EP ‘Alma’s Cove’ – clashmusic.com

Instrumental four-piece Yuuf have signed to Ninja Tune’s Technicolour imprint.
The outernational quartet hail from four different parts of the world – Switzerland, Denmark, France and England – yet interlock seamlessly, their evocative instrument sketches drawing on the energy of club culture, while utilising this in a distinctly different way.
Working with Ninja Tune’s Technicolour imprint, new EP ‘Alma’s Cove’ is set to land on June 25th. Citing everything from classical Spanish guitar to Studio Ghibli soundtracks as inspiration, the group comment:  “We naturally blend our diverse musical tastes from around the world to shape the sound of our music”.
Out now, the title track is a superb example of what makes Yuuf so intoxicating – an aural journey, the pointed guitar lines are sharply melodic, while the infectious groove smothers you like the incoming tide.
The band explain: “The listener is walking around and taking in nature, the sounds, and the views and reveling in its natural beauty”.
The single arrives with an official music video, showcasing a full live session filmed during the band’s recent trip to Crete – check it out below.
