Western music star to lead harmonica workshop on May 4 in Genoa – The Record Courier

Gary Allegretto will lead a harmonica workshop on May 4 in the historic Genoa Town Hall.

World-famous “Harmonicowboy” Gary Allegretto will lead a harmonica workshop on May 4 in historic Genoa Town Hall, the final event in the 2025 Genoa Western Heritage Days.
The workshop will begin promptly at 10:30 a.m., following Cowboy Church and is limited to 50 people. The cost is $20 (cash only) payable at the door. Attendees receive a shiny new harmonica and a music sheet booklet.
Throughout the workshop, Allegretto will share the fascinating history of the beloved instrument and perform favorite tunes. Then he will teach attendees how to play four Western songs. No musical ability or experience needed!
Allegretto is an International Western Music Association Performer of the Year Award winner. His songs have reached the No. 1 spot on the Western Music radio charts and his music is featured in major motion picture soundtracks and television.
Allegretto is also teaching a special harmonica workshop for Jacks Valley Elementary School fifth-graders without charge on May 2.
In addition to the Harmonica Workshops, he is a headliner for the Genoa Western Heritage Days Town Hall concert, sharing the stage with The Cowboy Way trio on May 3.
Genoa Western Heritage Days 2025 takes place May 2-4.
In addition to ticketed events, Genoa Western Heritage Days features a free Saturday festival from 11 a.m.-4:30 p.m. with live outdoor music, cowboy poetry, kids’ games and activities, historic reenactment, Western fine art, vendors and makers, and a Horse Parade at 2 p.m.
