NEWS RELEASE
GUELPH JAZZ SOCIETY
***********************
On May 24, silence will come alive with the sounds of improvisation, collaboration, and deep local talent as Liam Gallagher presents 'Trio! Trio! Trio!' — a dynamic concert celebrating the upcoming Trio! Trio! Trio! album, compiled from live performances across Guelph throughout 2024 and 2025.
The evening features a rotating cast of standout performers, including Emmitt Leacock (Shebad, Prrr), Nathan Lawr (The Minotaurs, Fiest), Blair Scanling (Streamliner, Big Smoke Brass), Mitch Camacho (Gallagher Camacho), Kevin Mak (Streamliner, Salsa Real), and Maddie Stewart, joining Gallagher for a night of bold, exploratory trio sets. Each configuration brings a fresh voice to the stage, blending genres and pushing the boundaries of what the trio can be.
In addition to the music, Trio! Trio! Trio! expands into a visual realm with an exhibition of original album artwork by acclaimed abstract and landscape painter Robert Attrell. The exhibition features his vivid oil and hot wax paintings, offering a visual counterpart to the improvisational energy of the album. The event also includes a retrospective collage installation celebrating the Liam Gallagher's work as a performer and at the Guelph Jazz Society during his first year in the Guelph jazz scene, providing context and tribute to the event's collaborative atmosphere.
This is more than a show — it’s a snapshot of the evolving artistic landscape in Guelph, a moment to celebrate community, and a chance to experience the intersections of music, visual art, and memory in one immersive event.
