Trevy James has shared his new single ‘(Let Me Tell You ‘Bout) What I See’.
The musician is a key component of the West Coast scene, with Trevy’s supple touch allowing him entry to the soul, R&B, and reggae and reggae communities.
A Berklee College of Music graduate, he blends incredible chops with an innate feel for the music, drawing on classic influences to build something fresh.
New single ‘(Let Me Tell You ‘Bout) What I See’ continues his 2025 run, offering up soulful R&B with a reggae slant. There’s a palpable sense of light here, with Trevy James’ lyric lingering on love, commitment, and the value the relationship with his fiancee brings to his life.
A taut, finessed piece of songwriting, it packs a huge amount of detail in its span, blending Trevy’s astute musicianship with a clear sense of passion for the material.
He comments…
My relationship with my soon-to-be wife is a big source of inspiration for me as a songwriter. From the very beginning of our relationship, I was flooded with so many vivid visions of what the future had in store for us: personal growth, our future homes, children, everything! This song is my expression of those powerful feelings and visions that perfectly completed a musical composition written by Tim Pacheco and myself that lived in our catalogue as a promising instrumental for over three years prior.
