“Stop the rain/ coming down over me,” are the first words on The Wet Whistles’ extraordinary new single, opening up with a capella harmonised vocals before expanding into a country-rock song anchored by the banjo.
With Stop The Rain, The Wet Whistles bring a fierce, feisty energy and keep their non-stop beer and banjo party going hard. They joined forces with Jay Bovino (Sheppard) to highlight their huge melodies, banjo playing, and entrancing harmonies.

The new track arrives as the group begin their national headline tour, selling out a show in their hometown of Brisbane at The Brightside. 2025 marks an impressive year for the four-piece, who will go on to perform at this year’s Gympie Music Muster and continue trekking on the road.
Faith Williams proves that she remains a strong country singer-songwriter with Joe, an acoustic-based, layered, emotional track that finds her exploring heartbreak, loss, and resilience.
Pulled from her debut EP, Queen Of Hearts, the Central Coast-based artist showcases vulnerability and strength, all while being led by tenderness. The small town story evolves into a soul-baring confession as Williams finds hope, no matter how dark a situation may be.
Williams released Queen Of Hearts in January 2025, securing collaborations with Kasey and Bill Chambers, plus production by Brandon “Dingo” Dodd. With the EP and a song as stunning as Joe, Williams shows why she’s so welcome in the Australian country music scene: thanks to her raw, authentic music that’s embedded in storytelling, emotional depth, and a heartfelt atmosphere.
Misty Harlowe embraces Americana with Welcome To The Wild West. If the title alone didn’t sell you on her artistry, the song has to be heard to fall in love with it.
Up-tempo and thrilling, Harlowe, who hails from the Victorian high country, draws from her country roots to tell a story of the land, heartache, and adventure, all examined with an authentic Western flair.
Taking listeners to a neon-lit honky tonk fever dream, Welcome To The Wild West finds Harlowe teaming up with some of Nashville’s finest session players. Welcome To The Wild West is situated in a night that never ends. With its lively energy and Harlowe’s distinctive flair, it’s no wonder why she’s already opened for the likes of CW Stoneking, Jim Lauderdale, Mick Thomas, The Davidson Brothers, and Shaun Kirk.
