Staunton Jams spring street music festival returns with main stage and satellite venues May 2-4 – The News Leader | Staunton, VA

„Staunton Jams is looking forward to a fantastic spring festival coming up May 2-4,“ said Molly Murphy, of Queen City Music Studios, The Judy Chops and lead organizer of the Staunton Jams team.
„I feel a lot of gratitude for support of the arts and music scene, said Murphy. „Each time we put on the festival, another organization or business or even individuals ask about how they can help out and get involved.“
Returning to its roots that started in 2004 with Sarah Lynch at Baja Bean, the festival is bringing the main stage back to West Beverley Street in downtown Staunton with a full day of amplified outdoor music from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on May 3, according to information from the Staunton Jams team.
The city is granting a modified Shop & Dine-Out permit to Queen City Music Studios for an extended perimeter for the main stage at 14-16 W. Beverley St., according to the Staunton Jams team.
„All participants of the Shop & Dine Out program are encouraged to set up as they normally would, as we expect to bring music and arts lovers from near and far to enjoy this community celebration in the heart of downtown Staunton,“ said Murphy.
There will be music at satellite venues May 2-4 with the main street festival day happening May 3.
All sponsoring satellite venues are hosting music indoors (except Marino’s Lunch — They will use the patio if the weather permits). Queen City Music Studios shop will host some vendors indoors, and there will be spaces available on West Beverley Street along the Suntrust building for community partner and sponsor tents, and non-selling information booths.
The new Staunton Jams wellness hub at The Artisan’s Loft (19 W. Beverley St, second floor) will have programming 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on May 3 with offerings including yoga, sound healing, reiki, flow arts, performances and wellness-related vendors.
