SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ – The South Brunswick School District has once again been honored with the Best Communities for Music Education from the NAMM Foundation.
The honor recognizes the district’s deep and ongoing commitment to providing meaningful and accessible music education to all students.
The NAMM Foundation is the charitable arm of the National Association of Music Merchants, the global trade association for the music products industry.
Now in its 26th year, this national award is given to districts that demonstrate outstanding achievement in providing music access and education as part of a well-rounded learning experience.
“We are incredibly proud to receive this recognition,” said Robert Sears, K–12 Supervisor of Music.
“This award is a reflection of the heart of our performing arts program—our students, our teachers, our families, and the South Brunswick community. We believe in the power of music to shape lives, bring people together, and inspire creativity. Our commitment to music education runs deep, and we are grateful to be part of a district where the performing arts are truly valued and supported.”
To qualify for this distinction, South Brunswick completed an in-depth survey covering program funding, student participation, music instruction time, facilities, and community involvement. Responses were verified by school officials and reviewed by the arts education research firm WolfBrown.
