Shaboozey might have just released his Where I've Been, Isn't Where I'm Going: The Complete Edition deluxe album today (Friday, April 25th), but it looks like the ‘A Bar Song (Tipsy)’ hitmaker has already got his sights set on new music.
The Virginia trailblazer has shared a photo to his Instagram Stories of him seemingly recording with BigXthaPlug. In the shot, Shaboozey is sat in front of a laptop, donning headphones with a microphone in front of him, while BigX stands in the background.
BigXthaPlug continues to tease a full-blown country project, with the Texas rapper having hinted that the likes of Morgan Wallen, Post Malone, Jelly Roll and Luke Combs will all feature on the EP. BigX name-checked Shaboozey in an interview a few months ago, too. When the latter spoke to Holler in March, he confirmed he hadn't recorded a song for BigX's record just yet, but that he would be appearing on it.

Judging by this tantalising new photo, it seems we might be inching closer to getting this blockbuster collaboration, which marks the second time the duo have joined forces.
Last year, Shaboozey recruited BigX for the trap-infused ‘Drink Don't Need No Mix’, one of the many stand-outs from his original Where I've Been, Isn't Where I'm Going record.
BigXthaPlug has already kicked off the rollout for his country EP, releasing the long-teased ‘All The Way’ with Bailey Zimmerman at the start of the month. The stormy, brooding anthem surged straight to No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100, and ensures the sense of anticipation remains sky high ahead of BigX's first full-length country project.
While we look forward to hearing this forthcoming collection of star-studded duets, we'll be jamming to Shaboozey's new tracks on his deluxe album, which includes link-ups with Jelly Roll (‘Amen’), Sierra Ferrell (‘Hail Mary’) and Myles Smith (‘Blink Twice’).
