Rehearsal images and music have been released for the highly anticipated world première of King of Pangea, a soul-stirring new musical by Martin Storrow.
The production will run from 7 June to 6 July 2025 at the King’s Head Theatre, with tickets on sale now.
Directed by Richard Israel, King of Pangea features a cast led by Dan Burton (Chicago, Gypsy) as Arthur Crow/Captain, Mark Curry (Wicked, Bugsy Malone) as Elijah, and Sophia Ragavelas (Les Misérables, Mamma Mia) as Celia Crow.
Emily Tang (Aladdin, House of Cleopatra) plays Amy/Maya, while Alfie Blackwell makes his professional debut as Sam Crow.
The cast also includes Daniel Lee and Tayt Joshua Silvester-Stoller as Young Sam, Grace Chapman and Haydn Cox as Covers.
The creative team includes Carly Brownbridge (Set & Costume Design), Anthony Lucca (Musical Supervisor, Orchestrator & Arranger), Jordan Paul Clarke (Musical Director), and Tinovimbanashe Sibanda (Movement Director).
Lighting design is by Catja Hamilton, sound design by Yvonne Gilbert, and casting by Nicholas Hockaday. The production is managed by Daniel Steward and produced by Nicole LaFountaine, Jaime Bartolett, Lucas Katler, and Tony Award-winner Jerry Mitchell.
Based on Storrow’s own experience, King of Pangea follows Sam Crow as he escapes to the imaginary island of his childhood after the loss of his mother. Guided by a prophet, a ship captain, and a poetess, Sam embarks on a journey to reclaim his identity.
“King of Pangea is inspired by my own experience,” said Martin Storrow. “I am thrilled to be bringing this personal story to London, and look forward to welcoming you to the island of Pangea.”
