Range Music Launches Composer Division, Hires Jeff Jernigan – Pollstar News

Range Music announced the establishment of a new composer division, and the company’s first hire for that department is industry veteran Jeff Jernigan, who is tasked to work with music-for-media composers, songwriters, music supervisors and executive music producers.
Jernigan, who previously served roles at BMG Publishing, the film and television department at ASCAP and Kraft-Engel Management, will work closely with Leah Cook, vice president of creative sync and strategy. His clients include Academy Award-winning composer Steven Price (who worked on 2013’s “Gravity”), Emmy-nominated composer and songwriter Tom Howe (“Ted Lasso”), Raffertie (“The Substance”), Amanda Kreig Thomas (“Halston”), Brandon Roberts (“Andor”), Joseph Stevens (“The Righteous Gemstones”), Disasterpeace (“It Follows”), Tony-nominated composer Helen Park (“KPOP”) and Grammy-winning music supervisor Steven Gizicki (“Maestro”).
“It’s an incredible time for music in media, and Range is a perfect home for those creators,” Jernigan said in a statement. “I’m extremely excited to build a vibrant representation business with the unparalleled flow of information and opportunity that this company and team provide.”
Jernigan previously collaborated with Range’s Co-Presidents of Film & Production, Fred Berger and Brian Kavanaugh-Jones. Gizicki, Jernigan’s client, served as a supervisor on the Bob Dylan biopic “A Complete Unknown” and Damien Chazelle’s “La La Land,” both of which were produced by Berger.
