Calvin Harris and Rihanna are also on course for the top spot in the UK singles chart
Radiohead and Skepta are battling it out for this week’s Number One in the UK official album charts.
Thom Yorke and co’s new LP ‘A Moon Shaped Pool’, which was released yesterday (May 8), is currently at Number Three in the midweek charts after shifting over 15,000 copies. It is the band’s first album in five years after 2011’s ‘The King Of Limbs’.
The new album will be released physically on June 17. Special edition and standard pre-orders are available from www.radiohead.com.
The group previously shared two new songs from the record. ‘Burn The Witch’ came last Tuesday (May 3), with ‘Daydreaming’ following on Friday (May 6) with a video directed by Oscar-nominated Paul Thomas Anderson.
Skepta, who is eyeing his first Top 10 album with ‘Konnichiwa’ is leading a tight race at the top of the chart with Beyonce’s ‘Lemonade’. The rapper is currently 2,000 copies ahead of Beyonce.
Prince is also set to break into the Top 10 with his 39th and final studio album ‘HITnRUN Phase Two’.
In the official UK singles chart, Drake is set to be knocked off the top by Calvin Harris and Rihanna’s new hit single ‘This Is What You Came For’ which currently lies in the Number One spot.
Last week’s Number One, ‘One Dance’ is 1,000 chart sales behind.
Shooting straight in at Number Three this week is ‘Can’t Stop The Feeling’, the new single from Justin Timberlake. Taken from Dreamworks’ Trolls movie that JT stars in, the music video also features other voices for the animation including Anna Kendrick, Gwen Stefani, Icona Pop, Kunal Nayyar and James Corden.
