‘Promomaster’ seeks government support for music industry – The Nation Newspaper

A music promoter, talent manager and media consultant, Kayode Adepoju, popularly known as “Promomaster”, has appealed to of government to support the music industry.
This, he said, will ensure upward growth and international recognition for the industry. 
Speaking shortly after the official unveiling of “Rythm and Vybz”, Adepoju said Nigeria has abundance of talents, particularly in area of music.

He lamented that some of these talents are wasting away because they have no financial support due to the fact that some of them come from very poor background.
According to him: “For instance, if government set up a trust fund for the support of upcoming music artiste, they will motivated and in return contribute hugely to the economy of the country after they might have made headway in their music career.

“We music promoters on our part, will also, in no small measure contribute to making this happen. It is our joy to see Nigerian music artistes doing well locally and internationally.”
