It all began as a 'humble community event' and has turned into a full weekend family festival featuring live music, theatre, circus, face painting, bouncy castles, a farmers market and great food and drink.
The first ever Kings Heath Artsfest is taking place over the May Bank Holiday weekend on May 3 and 4.
Highlights include Northern Soul Club, Steve Adjao of the Blue Giants, Sufi vocalist Rubaya Muzic, songwriter Gerry Colvin and Circusmash.
There will also be a chance to watch the 'next big thing' as students from BIMM Birmingham take to the stage and also performances from the Paperback Theatre Company.

There will also be face painting, a treasure hunt, bouncy castle, basketball, yoga, disco ping pong, afternoon tea, a farmers market and lots of fun and games for all ages.
What’s more, tickets start from just £8 and kids go free. Find out more and book tickets via the Kings Heath Artsfest website.
A spokesman said: "Initiated by the fantastic re-development of All Saints Centre following money from the Youth Investment Fund, what started as a humble community event has burgeoned into a multi-arts and music festival, spanning circus, music, theatre, spoken word, art and food and drink.
"We're working with BIMM Birmingham to enable fresh, young performers to have a platform alongside experienced acts like Steve Adjao, Rubaya Muzic and Gerry Colvin."
"Did you even know that Circusmash UK existed behind All Saints?" she added. "There will be a circus going on all weekend!
"Paperback Theatre Company will be performing Wind in the Willows. We've also got some of our very own local fixtures in Craig Pullen and Burt Backarackhams.
"In between sessions, check out the food and drink in the square. "This is the first Kings Heath Artsfest. There's no big team – it's just us, so help with getting the word out is so, so welcome."
