Welcome back to this week’s Music On Mondays! I hope you’re ready to check out some fresh new tracks to kick off your week. Let’s dive in!
Country singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Caroline Jones has released her debut label single, “No Tellin“. Co-written and co-produced by Jones, “No Tellin“ is a bluegrassy song about the moral courage it takes to tell a hard, ugly truth in order to free yourself and others from the pain of keeping a secret. Through the drama and power of live strings alongside empowering lyrics, Jones hopes this song touches the people who need to hear this message most.
If you’re unfamiliar, Caroline Jones officially joined the GRAMMY-Award-winning Zac Brown Band as the first female band member in 2022 after opening for the group for three years and joining as a special guest. She released her third studio album Homesite in 2023. The late Jimmy Buffett mentored her and previously opened for Kenny Chesney, Faith Hill and Tim McGraw, Carrie Underwood, and more.
Hailing from Santa Cruz, CA, the Poi Rogers consists of Gerard Egan, who plays both acoustic guitar and triple-neck steel, alongside Carolyn Sills on standup bass. They just released Poi Rogers‘ debut single, “Don’t Steak My Covers,” a playful tune from their upcoming LP, Twilight Blues, set to drop on June 6th. Inspired by their dog, Cowboy, the song offers a delightful blend of wit and charm.
West Coast-based Americana rock n’ roll band Ashleigh Flynn & The Riveters are thrilled to release their second album, Good Morning, Sunshine. The all-female ensemble is gearing up to take their latest collection of vibrant, genre-blurring songs on tour, bringing their celebrated live energy to stages across the country. Good Morning, Sunshine was produced by Nancy Luca, the band’s talented guitarist, with engineering by Katie Sawicki and Ricky Wilkins, and mastering by John Neufeld. Most of the album was recorded at The Map Room in Portland, Oregon, with additional sessions at Flynn’s home studio. Reflecting on the process, Flynn shares, “Nancy brought joy to producing and channeled the spirit of her musical ancestors, like Tom Petty and Bo Diddley.”
Ashleigh Flynn & The Riveters describe their sound as “rock and roll with twang,” a dynamic fusion that reflects Flynn’s upbringing in Kentucky and Virginia, where she was steeped in bluegrass, Motown, and rock. From the opening riff of “Drunk in Ojai,” a playful tale of a night gone wrong, to reflective tracks like “Love is an Ember,” the album showcases the band’s knack for blending heartfelt storytelling with toe-tapping melodies.
Other highlights include; “Good Morning, Sunshine”a song inspired by a breathtaking sunrise in the Columbia River Gorge, which explores self-discovery and healing. “Tilly Jane Ridge”was written during a hike through a forest recovering from the Gnarl Ridge fire, and it’s a poignant ode to resilience. “Shake the Stranger” is a heartfelt cover and tribute to queer country pioneer Patrick Haggerty of Lavender Country, who was a dear friend to the band.
While Good Morning, Sunshine is infused with joy and dynamism, it also carries a message of hope and resilience. The Riveters aim to uplift marginalized voices and foster connection in an often divisive world. As Flynn notes, “We summon our courage to bring joy. Our music is about letting go of fear and celebrating love in all its forms.”
Promising Country music artist Savannah Dean Reeves has announced the release of her self-penned tune, “How About You.” The new tune is a powerful and emotionally charged song that captures the raw journey of healing and moving on. It weaves through the whirlwind of thoughts—wondering what the other person is doing, reflecting on personal emotions, and ultimately coming to terms with one’s reality. Driven by deep emotion, vivid memories, and the uncertainty of the unknown, „How About You“ offers an intimate glimpse into the complexities of letting go.
Savannah shared, “My newest release is deeply relatable to anyone who has gone through a separation. How About You captures the whirlwind of thoughts—wondering what the other person is doing, questioning emotions, and trying to make sense of everything. I wrote this song because we all think and wonder, and there’s no right or wrong way to process our emotions. When you go through something difficult, you rarely get the answers you want or need—and that uncertainty can be overwhelming. While writing, I realized that my thoughts, emotions, and memories became the song. I hope listeners genuinely feel the emotion behind How About You. I want it to remind people that overthinking is human and there’s no perfect way to navigate our feelings. More than anything, I want this to be a song that people scream at the top of their lungs—because sometimes, that’s the only way to let it all out.”

New York singer-songwriter ROSIE returns with her country-kissed new single, “City Woman,”. Full of heartfelt sentiment and clever lines, the song adds a playful twist to a familiar theme: opposites attract … until they don’t.
“City Woman” opens on lightly plucked acoustic guitar before breaking into a full-band trot. Although she holds down the song’s titular role, ROSIE’s vocals feel Nashville-ready, able to soar up high and swoop down close as she paints a vivid scene: “You’ve got IPA and cigarettes, lingering on your breath / And me, I like an overpriced iced coffee / You’ve got wrangler jeans and riding boots, and I prefer Nike shoes / We’re opposites but you insist you want me.”
