Ahead of the 2025 ACM AwardsElla Langley has been named New Female Artist Of The Year!
The exciting news was announced on Friday evening, April 25, after the “You Look Like You Love Me” singer was surprised by country superstar Miranda Lambert, who is the winningest artist in ACM Awards history, via a special video message while on stage at Rock The Country in Knoxville, Tennessee.
“I’m here to tell you how proud I am of you for being the top-nominated artist for the Academy of Country Music Awards this year. You are my friend, first and foremost, a fellow dog rescue advocate, you are a cowriter, you are my soul sister in Country Music and a partner in crime,” Lambert said in the video before revealing that Langley had won ACM New Female Artist of the Year. “We are gonna celebrate so big in Dallas, Texas! They ain’t even ready!”

Following her performance, Ella Langley broke down in tears while accepting the prestigious honor, saying, “like every day of my life I’ve just prayed about this and thought about it and literally everything I’ve ever done was to do this, and I’m so grateful for the team I have around me. I’m just really grateful to have fans that are listening to the music and see that it is truth and that I’m just a real life human going through life just like everyone else. To see that the things I go through is something that everyone goes through, and you know, but this is… thank you.”

Langley, a first-time nominee, is the most-nominated artist at this year’s ACM Awards with eight nominations, including Female Artist of the Year, New Female Artist of the Year as well as Single of the Year, Song of the Year as both artist and songwriter, Music Event of the Year, and Visual Media of the Year as both artist and director for “You Look Like You Love Me” with Riley Green.
This is just the beginning for Ella Langley’s success at the ACM Awards. Lainey Wilson recently predicted that Langley is going to sweep the awards show. “I would not be surprised that she don’t come in there with her broom and start sweeping it up,” Wilson said with a laugh at her recent double No. 1 party for her chart-topping hits, “Wildflowers And Wild Horses” and “4X4XU.”
Ella Langley’s big win follows the success of her debut album, hungover. The project features a full track list co-written by Langley herself. Its breakout hit, “you look like you love me” featuring Riley Green, marked her Billboard Hot 100 debut (Top 30), became her first No. 1 on Country radio, and made her one of only two female artists to top the Billboard Country Airplay Chart in 2024.
One day prior to her award win, Zach Top was surprised by Brooks & Dunn with the news that he was crowned ACM New Male Artist of the Year ahead of the 60th Academy of Country Music Awards.
The exciting reveal comes just days before the 60th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards, where Ella Langley will celebrate her big win. 2025 ACM Awards is set to take place on May 8 and will air live from Ford Center at The Star (the world headquarters of the Dallas Cowboys) on Amazon Prime Video at 8/7c.
Hosted by country music icon Reba McEntire, the 2025 ACM Awards will celebrate six decades of Country music and feature a star-studded list of performances, including Blake Shelton, Eric Church, Lainey Wilson, Alan Jackson, Brooks & Dunn, Chris Stapleton, Clint Black, Cody Johnson, Kelsea Ballerini, Leann Rimes, Miranda Lambert, Rascal Flatts, Wynonna Judd and more.
The 60th Academy of Country Music Awards is produced by Dick Clark Productions (DCP). Raj Kapoor serves as executive producer and showrunner, alongside co-executive producer Patrick Menton. Damon Whiteside is the executive producer representing the Academy of Country Music, while Jay Penske and Barry Adelman serve as executive producers on behalf of DCP. John Saade will continue his role as consulting producer for Amazon MGM Studios.
