Miley Cyrus wound up in the hospital with a „brutal infection“ after rolling around on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for her new film.
During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Thursday, the Wrecking Ball singer revealed she „caught“ something after writhing around on the star-filled pavement in Los Angeles in the middle of the night.
Weeks later, she found herself in the intensive care unit (ICU) with a „brutal“ knee infection, and felt embarrassed explaining to the doctor how she contracted it.
„I caught something… Because I filmed this video in October, and by November, at Thanksgiving, I was put in ICU for a moment. Just for a moment, but it was mostly because it was Thanksgiving,“ she shared. „My leg began to disintegrate… around the kneecap area. And then the doctor goes, ‚Do you have any idea why you would have such a brutal infection on your kneecap?'“
Miley simulated her performance on the pavement and continued, „I had to tell him. To have a surgeon look at you and say, ‚Yuck…‘ They open up cadavers. They see inside the guts of humans, and they’re looking at me, telling me I’m disgusting.“
The Something Beautiful film is a visual companion to the star’s upcoming album of the same name.
The 32-year-old explained that she wanted to shoot the visuals for her song Walk of Fame at the tourist attraction but they didn’t have the budget to reserve an area during the day so they decided to film it in the middle of the night when it would be quiet.
„Have you been to the Walk of Fame in the middle of the night?“ she asked Jimmy. „I thought it was my last day.“
Something Beautiful, the album, will be released on 30 May and the accompanying film will debut at the Tribeca Festival on 6 June.
