The two-time Latin Grammy winner opens up about his greatest accomplishment, upcoming tour, and new projects with ‘Domingo Live’
Michael Salgado is celebrating a major milestone in 2025—30 years in the music industry. The two-time Latin Grammy winner sat down with Domingo Live hosts Rudy Treviño and Barbi Leo to reflect on his journey, discuss his upcoming tour, and share exciting news about not one, but two new albums.
Looking back on his three-decade-long career, Salgado says the most meaningful achievement isn’t the awards or the accolades—it’s the simple joy of living his dream.
“I think for me, the greatest accomplishment is to have been able to make my dream come true,” he shared. “To wake up every day and live your dream—how better does it get? That, for me, is the biggest.”
Salgado’s dream began when he was just 13 years old, and it’s clear the passion that started then still fuels his work today.
The Tejano star revealed that fans can expect two major releases this year, including a personal and nostalgic concept album and a full-length country music album.
“We’re almost finishing an album—it’s like a concept album,” he explained. “A lot of older songs that were recorded in the past. I even recorded a song that I used to sing when I was eight years old to my grandparents… Deje Mi Casa, it’s an old song from Lorenzo de Monteclaro.”
This sentimental collection is set to be released under a new distribution deal with ADA (Warner Music), which Salgado says is close to being finalized.
After wrapping up that album, Salgado plans to dive into a long-awaited country project.
“This one’s going to be a complete new country album—all new songs,” he said. “I’ve done an EP before, but this will be the real deal.”
Salgado is also hitting the road this year for a 30th Anniversary Tour, including two big shows with rising Tejano Country star Louie The Singer.

“We want to invite everybody to come out. If you haven’t gotten your tickets, make your plans—it’s going to be some party,” Salgado said.
After 30 years in the business, Salgado also took a moment to offer advice to young and aspiring artists:
“It’s about the right song and a lot of discipline behind it,” he said. “Everything came together with the labels, the work, and of course, never forgetting our fans—they’re the ones that made it possible.”
As he embarks on this new chapter, Michael Salgado remains as passionate and grounded as ever—living proof that dreams built on hard work and heart can last a lifetime.
