The friendly family butchery, Meat World, will be celebrating it’s 30th anniversary on April 26 with an exciting birthday bash at the Springs Meat World at the Springs Fresh Produce Market in Paul Kruger Highway, Springs.
The managing director of the Meat World Group of Companies, Angelino Pereira, said that they will be celebrating the wonderful 30 years in style with an exciting line-up of artists.
“We are very thankful for all the loyal support we received over the last 30 years and with this birthday bash we would like to thank each and every customer who supported us over the years,” said Pereira.
“We would therefor like to invite all Meat World’s customers to attend this function”, he added.
The first Meat World was opened in Springs at the Springs Fresh Produce Market on April 25, 1995, establishing the Meat World strategy of “The Best Quality Meat at the Lowest Prices”.
After the success of the Springs Meat World, 18 butcheries have been opened across the country. The Meat World in Witbank will also be opened on April 26, bringing the total of outlets to 19 around the country.
From humble beginnings, the Meat World Group of Companies developed a workable strategy of wholesale, pre-packed, deli products and of course a personal butcher to see to the personal needs of clients.
“The heart of Meat World lies in its friendly and professional team of employees. An Internal Logistics Division ensures reliable and efficient deliveries to all our customers, no matter the size of the load,” Pereira said.
Top South African artists like MiCasa, Francois van Coke, DJ Dazzy Funk, Pieter Smith, Ruhan du Toit, Bernice West, Mari Bosman and Ama Piano DJ Zan D will be performing at the Meat World Birthday Bash.

The MC will be Patrick Shabangu, well-known for its roles as Bongani in Kasteel and Dolf in Diepe Waters. Apart from the big stage, there will also be an art and flea market, a beer tent, fun for children and lots to eat.
Meat World will also be running extraordinary specials for that day and gates for shopping will be opened at 06:00.
Meat World will also present their well-known braai competition from 08:00.
