Lorde has confirmed her new single will be called ‘What Was That’.
The New Zealand singer’s last album ‘Solar Power’ came in 2021, and since then she’s played it low-key. Covering Talking Heads for a charity compilation, Lorde then ramped up her return by duetting with Charli XCX on ‘girl, so confusing’.
The two re-created the collaboration at Coachella over the weekend, with Lorde also teasing new music.
Breaking cover overnight, Lorde has confirmed her new single will be called ‘What Was That’ and it is due to be released “soon”.
