Legendary British rock band to perform at Cotswold music festival – The Worcester News

TICKETS are still available to see a legendary British rock band open a festival in The Cotswolds.
 
Steeleye Span will open The Guiting Music Festival which is returning from July 25 to August 3 featuring some big names including the ‚influential and popular‘ folk-rock band. 
Other big names include Gary Williams, Dominic Alldis Trio, Trio Meister Raro, Mississippi MacDonald and more. 
The music festival is held in the village of Guiting Power, near Stow in the Cotswolds, which is home to around 300 people but regularly punches above its weight according to organisers. 
Prue Hornby, chair of The Guiting Music Festival, said: „This wonderful festival continues to grow its reputation as one of the leading music festivals in the Cotswolds, offering a superb, eclectic mix of artists and genres of music at its annual event in the beautiful Cotswold village of Guiting Power. 
„There really is something for everyone.“
Thousands of people are expected to attend the festival with tickets to go on sale as early as March 21 and April 21 for the general public.

In 2024 both Sheku Kanneh-Mason and Barbara Dickson appeared at the Guiting Music Festival. 
Rosie C Bartlett, a trustee of Guiting Music Festival said: „This year for the first time we will have an evening of Latin Music with Robert Pla and his Latin Ensemble performing on July 28 and also for the first time we have an evening of cabaret/musical theatre with Gary Williams who played Frank Sinatra in the West End production of The Rat Pack who will perform with his 6 piece band on Saturday July 26.
„If you close your eyes you would think you were listening to old Blue Eyes himself.
„We are delighted that our catering will be by The Cotswold Guy who have a wonderful deli and café in Guiting Power.“
