This year’s LA Sync Mission, organised jointly by the BPI, MPA and the UK’s Department for Business and Trade (DBT), will take place between June 9-13,  2025.
The event, which was founded to create global opportunities for British sync and to grow UK music exports, will be held at the East West Studios in the heart of Hollywood.
The five-day mission includes a mix of panels, site visits, practical sessions, meetings and keynote speakers, as well as a networking reception hosted by the British Consul General, Paul Rennie.
“The LA Sync Mission enables record label and music publishing executives, songwriters, composers, artists and managers to benefit from a unique insight into the operation of the lucrative sync licensing market in the US,” said a statement. “The mission also provides delegates a priceless opportunity to meet with many of the key players and decision-makers from the world of sync working across the TV, film, advertising and games markets in the media capital of the US – the world’s largest entertainment market.”
Now in its 21st year, the mission enables UK music companies and individuals to meet with executives responsible for placing music in films, TV shows and video games.
Recent successful sync placements by British companies off the back of these sessions include tracks for the global box office smash Dune: Part Two, Amazon Prime’s Wilderness, Disney’s Star Wars: The Acolyte, 20th Century Studio’s Alien: Romulus and Netflix’s Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F, amongst others.
Sync presents music creators a different way to realise their creative and commercial potential

Dr Jo Twist OBE, BPI CEO, said: “With more artists and songwriters than ever competing to pursue careers in what is now a global music economy, every income stream can be important in making a meaningful difference to their success. Sync presents music creators a different way to realise their creative and commercial potential, and through the LA Sync Mission, which has proved such an effective platform over the past two decades, our aim working with MPA and DBT is to help them fully achieve this.”
Paul Clements, MPA Group chief executive, said: “The MPA is delighted to once again be partnering with our friends and associates at BPI and DBT for our 21st LA Sync Mission. As sync markets expand and continue to be a lucrative source of new business and revenue for UK music publishers, the LA Sync Mission offers an important opportunity for delegates to learn about the US sync market and broaden their international network. We look forward to once again bringing an array of exciting British music exports to the US market and supporting the growth of our UK music publishers.”
British consul general Paul Rennie OBE, British Consulate Los Angeles, said: “I am delighted to announce the launch of the 2025 LA Sync Mission, hosted in collaboration with the BPI and the MPA, and coordinated by the Department for Business & Trade team in LA. Entering its 21st year, this event underscores the unique position of the Sync industry, bridging visual media with music in the heart of Hollywood. The annual LA Sync Mission serves as a powerful reminder of the deep roots British artistry has within global music and highlighting the strategic importance of exporting British music to the world.”
The LA Sync Mission organised by BPI, MPA & DBT is open for all UK companies who are actively engaged in sync. The Mission fee is £550.  Applications can be made here.
