Do you know the names of the Jonas Brothers? If you guessed Kevin, Nick and Joe, you would only be partially right because the man formerly known only as Kevin Jonas has revealed his actual name — and it’s not Kevin.
Kevin* made the confession in a video shared to his TikTok on Monday (May 19) as part of a trend where users share a fun fact about themselves to the beat of Chris Brown‚s "New Flame," per E! News. As the song played on, the 37-year-old musician pointed to text that repeated, "My first names not Kevin."
Instead, his real full name is Paul Kevin Jonas Jr., named after his father Kevin Sr. He even jokingly asked in the caption if he should "change my handle to PaulJonas."
Despite Kevin still being his legal middle name — and therefore not far-fetched as his official moniker — some fans were still shocked about the admission, like one user who wrote, "PAUL JONAS??? I feel like I’ve been catfished all my life."
Others were proud that they already knew the fact. "Old news. Read it in an unofficial Jonas brothers biography I got from Walmart in 2008," one commenter wrote, while another admitted, "i know baby, i was doodling mrs paul kevin jonas ii in my notebooks back in 2007."
The official Jonas Brothers account even had some fun with the reveal, commenting "breaking news" under the video while "real OGS" stepped in to say that it was only new information "to the rest of the world, not us Jonas Fans."
