Kendrick Lamar leads the pack in this year’s American Music Awards nominations.
The Not Like Us rapper, who has three American Music Awards under his belt, has the most nominations this year with 10 nods.
Kendrick’s nominations include Artist of the Year, Album of the Year and Favourite Hip-Hop Album for GNX, Song of the Year and Favourite Music Video for Not Like Us, Collaboration of the Year for Luther with SZA, and Favourite Male Hip-Hop Artist.
He has also been nominated a whopping three times in the Favourite Hip-Hop Song category with Not Like Us, Luther and Like That, his team-up with Metro Boomin.
The 37-year-old could tie Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston for the most awards in a single year if he wins in all eight categories.
This year has been stellar one for Lamar already. In February, he won the most awards at the Grammys with five, and performed at the Super Bowl Halftime Show.
Post Malone is close behind with eight nominations, including Artist of the Year, Favourite Male Country Artist, Favourite Country Album and Album of the Year for F-1 Trillion.
Billie Eilish and first-time nominees Chappell Roan and Shaboozey follow with seven nominations each.
Taylor Swift, who has won the most American Music Awards in history with a total of 40, is nominated in six categories this year, alongside Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga, Morgan Wallen, Sabrina Carpenter, and SZA.
The 2025 American Music Awards, hosted by Jennifer Lopez, will take place on 26 May in Las Vegas.
