Joe Jonas felt more confident making second solo album – Music-News.com

Joe Jonas felt more confident in his point of view while writing his second solo album.
The Jonas Brothers star admitted that he received a lot of input from other people while making his 2011 debut solo album Fastlife, but for his new record, Music For People Who Believe In Love, he felt more confident expressing his own perspective.
„It’s been a minute since I’ve released anything (solo),“ he told Billboard. „The last album that I did by myself, I’m very proud of. There were a lot of cooks in the kitchen at that time in my life. I was surrounded by a lot of people that I just said, ‚Yes, and‘ to.“
The 35-year-old continued, „Now, knowing who I am, feeling confident, and looking at my life, I’m so grateful for the friends and family I have around me… I selfishly didn’t want to share it with other people. This needed to come from my voice in particular.“
The DNCE singer, who split from his wife Sophie Turner in 2023, added that the music he’s been making is „very personal“ as he used the songs to creatively „speak to what I’ve been through“.
Music for People Who Believe in Love, featuring the singles Work It Out, Heart by Heart and What This Could Be, is set to be released on 23 May.
Joe was embroiled in a bitter custody battle with the Game of Thrones actress over their two daughters after he filed for divorce in September 2023. Their divorce was finalised the following year.
