In tandem with the arrival of the sister-trio's stellar new single, ‘Sheltered’, The Castellows have treated fans to another gift today (Friday, April 25th). The Georgia band have confirmed their Homecoming EP will be dropping on Friday, May 30th.
The project will include the newly unveiled ‘Sheltered’, which finds Lily, Powell and Ellie reflecting on being homeschooled and the stereotypes that have been pushed on them as a result, along with their Flatland Cavalry collaboration, ‘Place They Call Home’.
In addition, ‘You Don't Even Know Who I Am’, which dropped last month, will appear on the project, alongside four brand new songs, ‘Old Way’, ‘Freeway’, ‘Broke’ and the title-track.
The Homecoming EP is now available to pre-save on Apple Music, with The Castellows underlining in a new social media post how excited they are to share what they've been working on with fans. Referring to the arrival of ‘Sheltered’ in particular, the three-piece gushed, “SHELTERED IS OUT NOW EVERYONE!!! Go listen to it wherever you stream your music!!…it’s always a pleasure to release new music. This is one of our more personal songs we’ve ever put out. The way we were raised is who we are and being homeschooled encompasses that. Happy listening”.
While more music from The Castellows is always cause for celebration, we're hoping it won't be too long before we get a full-length debut album from the country prodigies.
So far, The Castellows have released an array of EPs, including their lauded break-out project, A Little Goes A Long Way in February 2024, and Alabama Stone towards the end of the year. We'll be keeping our fingers crossed Homecoming is paving the way for the band's long-awaited first studio album later in 2025.
