The HPU Symphonic Band and the Central Texas Community Band are joining forces to present the annual American Music Spectacular concert Tuesday, April 29. The concert will take place at 7:30 p.m. in Mims Auditorium on the HPU campus. Admission is free and open to the public.
The American Music Spectacular is a yearly tradition for the greater Brown County community and features Americana-inspired band music including the “Star Spangled Banner”, “America the Beautiful”, a “Salute to the Armed Forces” and a host of other iconic and moving works.
“The American Music Spectacular is always a special event for us,” said Dr. Jonathan Kraemer, assistant professor of music and director of bands. “In addition to providing a wonderful and powerful evening of music, the concert gives us an opportunity to honor the brave sacrifice and service of our community’s first responders and military men and women.”
