Swedish occult rock phenomenon Ghost have kicked off the week with the premiere of a new music video for their track “Peacefield.” The song serves as the opening number on the band’s latest album “Skeletá,” which was released last Friday, April 25th.
The visuals were directed by acclaimed filmmaker Amir Chamdin and blend studio footage with live performance clips captured during the band’s current world tour. Music critics have noted similarities between “Peacefield” and Journey‘s multi-platinum 1983 hit “Separate Ways (Worlds Apart),” particularly in the vocal phrasing and structure.
Ghost‘s current “Skeletour,” which is being promoted as a “phone-free experience” where audience members’ devices are secured in pouches during the performance, continues tomorrow, April 29th in Lisbon, Portugal. The extensive tour will take the Grammy-winning band across Europe before heading to North America, with notable stops including Berlin’s Uber Arena, Amsterdam’s Ziggo Dome, New York’s Madison Square Garden, and a final show at Mexico City’s Palacio de los Deportes in September.
