Eurovision 2025 is officially beginning today, as the first rehearsals commence, and Slovenia was the third country to step on stage, right after Poland.
Klemen, the singer that represents Slovenia this year with the song “How Much Time Do We Have Left”, is performing a heartfelt ballad and hopes to bring his country to the final once again, as it’s time for his rehearsal in St. Jakobshalle, in Basel!
Slovenia’s first rehearsal had everything we expected, including a moving performance, visuals and of course, an upside-down Klemen.
It’s the first ballad of 2025. It’s an absolute heartbreaker, “How Much Time Do We Have Left” is a song about the fragility of life, and the staging really captures that haunting theme, with both the LED wall and the front arch both sparkling with thousands of stars that change from red to blue through the song.
Not only that, but it’s also a different outfit from the one Klemen wore at EMA – in this rehearsal he’s wearing a black suit with a white t-shirt, rather than the grey turtle-neck. As we saw at EMA, Klemen sings the middle section upside down, supported by two backing dancers.
After two uptempo openers, this feels it will create a moment of beautiful, hypnotic quiet – Klemen’s huge vocals fill the hall with heart and soul.
Klemen Slakonja (born 3 June 1985) is a Slovenian actor, singer, comedian, television host, and musician. Slakonja studied at the Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television. He is known in Slovenia for his comedy sketches, often made in the form of music videos. He was also the Slovenian spokesperson in Eurovision 2011.
The First Look Photos from the rehearsal will also be added when they become available.
Slovenia’s second rehearsal will take place on Wednesday, May 7, and we expect more info and rehearsal footage from the final result on stage.
