Eurovision 2025: Finland’s Second Rehearsal! – eurovisionfun.com

Erika Vikman from Finland is closing the Fourth day of Rehearsals. The Finnish diva is participating with her song “Ich Komme”.
Ich Komme was written by Christel Roosberg and Jori Roosberg.
Erika Vikman will perform in the Second Semifinal of the Eurovision Song Contest on the 15th of May. She is closing her Semifinal.
Erika Vikman was born on February 20, 1993, in Tampere, Finland, and grew up in Lempäälä in southwest Finland, where she was immersed in music from an early age, influenced by her mother, a singer of Finnish tango. She launched her professional career in 2013 on the seventh season of the Finnish Idols, eventually establishing herself as a Finnish tango vocalist. In 2015, she was the runner-up in Finland’s top tango competition, Tangomarkkinat, and claimed victory the following year.
A turning point in her career came in 2020 when she competed in Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu (UMK), Finland’s selection for Eurovision, with the provocative, 80s-inspired pop anthem “Cicciolina,” which celebrated female empowerment, sexual freedom, and self-expression. Though she didn’t win UMK that year, the song became a hit. Initially convinced she wouldn’t return to UMK as a contestant, her perspective shifted while collaborating with producers Chisu and Jori Roosberg on her next album. This collaboration led to the creation of the UMK entry “Ich komme,” which now sends her off to Switzerland.
Erika brings the same energy than her UMK performance, but even bigger. Erika opens by singing the first verse and chorus atop a circular gold plinth before swiftly making her way down the walkway to the frame stage with her signature gold microphone. Sporting an upgraded version of the black latex outfit from UMK—now crafted more from leather with a structured waist, metallic studs, thigh boots, and long black gloves—she commands the stage on her own. Every step and camera glance is meticulously choreographed, allowing her to forge a deep connection with the audience without the need for backup dancers.
Then comes the big finale. As the tempo accelerates, Erika returns to the main stage to mount her colossal gold microphone for a climactic ascension. The last 30 seconds, heavy with a pulsating bass, deliver an extraordinary finish that promises to leave a lasting impression, especially for those in the second Semi-Final. The LED wall mirrors the UMK setup with giant “ICH KOMME” graphics and a final “ERIKA” flash, accented by bursts of smoke on the walkway during the midsection.
After the completion of today’s rehearsals, a video with short excerpts from the second rehearsals will be released!
Finland’s Dress Rehearsal will take place on Monday, May 12, where we will have a better idea of what we will see on the competition stage.
