The Esports World Cup will be getting its very own soundtrack.
The Esports World Cup just got an incredible upgrade, as the official Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF) officially announced its newest feature, the Music of EWC. This new addition will give the Esports World Cup its very own musical identity, with a full soundtrack being recorded to be featured across all the games and tournaments.
The new addition takes a Hollywood-style approach to the Esports World Cup, giving the entire event a soundtrack. The event takes place later this summer, and its new soundtrack is set to be recorded at the famous Abbey Road studios in London.
“At its core, the Esports World Cup is about community – a global platform that connects people and elevates talent in all forms,” said Mike McCabe, Chief Operating Officer, Esports World Cup Foundation. “Music of EWC is a natural extension of that purpose, built on the same passion, creativity, and collaboration that define gaming and competition. Music and esports both bring people together, they let us feel the same rhythm, the same energy, wherever we are.“
The addition of a soundtrack to the Esports World Cup helps provide the organization and event with its own unique voice, providing music that eventually will make people strictly think of the tournament series whenever they hear it.
„With Music of EWC, we’re creating our own voice, sharing a universal language that tells the story of our sport and defines the role of esports in global culture.”
Not only is Abbey Road the birthplace of some of the most iconic film soundtracks, including Star Wars and Avengers: Endgame, but it is also where famous video game soundtracks like Halo, Call of Duty and more were recorded.
This new edition to the Esports World Cup will forever shape the world of esports, giving the industry a much larger voice than in the past. And guess what? You may have a chance to be included in the process.
Are you an aspiring musician wanting your scores to be heard by the gaming world? Well, the EWCF also announced the Audiotool competition, which will allow two winning musicians to have their songs recorded at Abbey Road and featured in the 2025 Esports World Cup soundtrack.
To submit your music, you must send the song in at ewc.audiotool.com. Once it has been submitted, a panel of judges will decide whether or not you are the right fit for the Music of EWC.
This is an incredible opportunity for those looking to make a career in the world of music composition.
